District Employees & NRCS

NRCS is & should be recognized as a valued partner.  District employees may be asked from time to time to provide some administrative support to NRCS, but district employees ultimately work for & answer to their district board supervisors concerning duties, expectations, performance & work schedules.  NRCS provides, in most cases, office space, office equipment & vehicle usage.  District employees are required to follow set rules & policies associated with working in a USDA service center so every effort should made by all parties to maintain a cohesive & effective work environment.

Section 22-2721(8) says district “supervisors may employ a secretary, technical experts, and such other officers, agents, and employees, permanent and temporary as they may require, and shall determine their qualifications, duties, and compensation.”
